TODAY, SUNNY, WIND AND COLD...HIGH OF 9 ABOVE.
BELOW ZERO AGAIN TONIGHT, BUT...
IN THE 20'S SATURDAY AND SUNDAY.
A SINGLE CAR ACCIDENT THIS MORNING AROUND 5 O'CLOCK, INVESTIGATED BY DEPUTY RANDY MANNING. CHRISTINA YAROLEM OF MAQUOKETA STRUCK A FENCE AND UTILITY POLE 5 MILES NORTH OF MAQUOKETA ON
HIGHWAY 61. SHE CROSSED THE ICY BRIDGE AND LOST CONTROL, ENDING UP IN THE DITCH. $3,500 DAMAGE TO HER 2001 FORD RANGER. SHE WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL. FOR YEARS NOW, HOSPITALS GIVE OUT NO
CONDITION ON PATIENTS.
THE TOP COUNTIES FOR PER-PERSON LIQUOR SALES ARE "VACATION
AND HIGH POPULATION CENTERS", WITH THE EXCEPTION OF KOSSUTH
COUNTY IN NORTHERN IOWA. IN THAT COUNTY, IN 2014, THE
IOWA ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES DIVISION SAID THE PER-PERSON AVERAGE WAS 3.12 GALLONS, FOR EVERY PERSON AGE 21 AND OLDER.
HERE IN JACKSON COUNTY, THE PER CAPITA WAS 1.76 GALLONS, ONE
OF LOWEST IN STATE.
AN OLD AD OF COURSE! ROSENBERG'S MUST HAVE DID BUSINESS IN
TWO DIFFERENT LOCATIONS OVER THE YEARS, AS I BELIEVE THEY HAD THEIR STORE AT ONE TIME HERE WHERE KMAQ IS LOCATED NOW, AT 129 NORTH MAIN STREET. I BELIEVE THIS ROSENBERG WAS A BROTHER TO
BERNIE WHO OPERATED THE AUTO PARTS STORE FOR MANY YEARS.
HISTORIANS, FILL ME IN.
HERE IT IS, THE NEW HEAVY DIGITAL PROJECTOR (ON STURDY TABLE) IN THE VOY 3 PROJECTOR BOOTH. THE SOUND RACK, FOREGROUND LEFT. WE WATCHED A MOVIE LAST NIGHT AND IT HAS A GREAT BRIGHT, CLEAR, ALWAYS PERFECT PICTURE AND FANTASTIC SOUND TOO.
LAST NIGHT, THE MAQUOKETA CARDINAL WRESTLERS LOST TO ANAMOSA 48 TO 34 AND TO DYERSVILLE, 57 TO 30.
TONIGHT, A GIRLS AND BOYS BASKETBALL DOUBLE HEADER AT THE
GYM IN DEWITT. HEAR BOTH GAMES ON KMAQ HOME PAGE, WWW.KMAQ.COM. GIRL'S GAME AT 5:50 AND BOY'S GAME AT 7:50.

HAVE A GOOD WEEKEND.
