MOSTLY CLOUDY TODAY...HIGH OF 49.
SOME LIGHT OCCASSIONAL RAIN FELL.
AROUND 3 P.M...FOR JUST A COUPLE MINUTES, SOME HAIL CAME DOWN
HERE IN THE TIMBER CITY.
TOMORROW, HIGH OF 53, WITH PARTLY SUNNY SKIES, AFTER SOME MORNING RAIN.

CITY COUNCIL MEETING TONIGHT.

THE JACKSON COUNTY SUPERVISORS MEET TOMORROW MORNING AND
ON THE AGENDA IS THE PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS AND ESTIMATE OF COST FOR THE PENROSE HOME ANNEX ADDITION AND REMODELING ON WEST PLATT STREET.   

THE MAQUOKETA SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS WILL MEET IN A SPECIAL
SESSION AT 5:30 P.M. TUESDAY AT THE DISTRICT OFFICE....A CLOSED
SESSION....TO TALK ABOUT THE POSSIBLE SUSPENSION OR EXPULSION
OF A STUDENT.

DOROTHY MORRIS, AGE 89,  DIED SATURDAY MORNING AT THE LOCAL HOSPITAL.   SHE WAS KMAQ'S BOOKKEEPER FOR NEARLY 25 YEARS
UNTIL RETIRING.    SHE IS SURVIVED BY HUSBAND, MORRIE, ONE SON,  A DAUGHTER AND A GRANDSON.     SHE WAS AN EXCELLENT EMPLOYEE AND
A VERY GOOD GOLFER, LIKE HER HUSBAND.      HER HEALTH HAD NOT
BEEN GOOD FOR SEVERAL YEARS AND SERVICES ARE PENDING
AT CARSON'S.   

THE HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL, "SEUSSICAL" THIS PAST WEEKEND AT
OHNWARD WAS A VERY GOOD SHOW!   SOME EXTREMELY TALENTED
STUDENTS OVER AT MCHS.    GOOD TURNOUT TOO.    JOEL HAGEN
WAS THE MUSICAL DIRECTOR AND IS THE MAQUOKETA ROTARY CLUB

AND...THE SILENT AUCTION ITEM THIS WEEK IS AN OVERNIGHT STAY
AT THE HISTORIC DECKER HOTEL.   PHOTOS OF THE ROOM ARE UP
ON THE SITE.  

THE NUMBER ONE MOVIE THIS PAST WEEKEND WAS "42"...  ABOUT
JACKIE ROBINSON, THE FIRST BLACK PLAYER TO PLAY IN THE MAJOR
LEAGUES.   THE MOVIE STARTS THIS FRIDAY AT THE VOY 3 THEATRE,
