BEAUTIFUL TODAY...HIGH OF 73.

LOUIE CLASEN, OWNER WITH HIS WIFE OF TIMER LANES BOWLING ALLEY IN MAQUOKETA, LAST NIGHT IN THE B & P MILLER LITE LEAGUE, ROLLED
A 300. AND HIS SERIES WAS 794. NOT BAD! NOT THAT BIG A DEAL FOR LOUIE.
IT WAS HIS 16TH PERFECT GAME. AND, HE'S HAD AN 800 OR BETTER SERIES
5 TIMES.

AT THE COUNTY SUPERVISORS MEETING THIS MORNING, THE SUPERVISORS
COMPLAINED ABOUT THE CITY COUNCIL. THEY ARE UNHAPPY THAT THE COUNCIL
ELEMINATED $4,000 FUNDING BY THE CITY TOWARD THE RTA BUS SERVICE IN MAQUOKETA. COUNCILMAN NEIL MOREHEAD WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS. HE SUGGESTED THAT THE COUNCIL USE THAT MONEY TO GIVE THE CITY MANAGER A RAISE. I'M SURE THIS ISSUE WILL COME UP AGAIN SOON AT A COUNCIL MEETING, BY UNHAPPY SENIOR CITIZENS WHO USE THE POPULAR SERVICE.

THE HOUSE FIRE EARLY SUNDAY MORNING IN MAQUOKETA WAS CAUSED BY AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM. THAT DETERMINATION BY THE STATE FIRE MARSHALL.

SUE KONRARDY, MAQUOKETA BEAUTICIAN, REPORTED TO POLICE THAT A REMINGTON 20 GUAGE SHOTGUN WAS STOLEN FROM HER RESIDENCE AT 702 VINE STREET.

KMAQ STATION MANAGER LEIGHTON HEPKER ANNOUNCED TODAY THAT DENISE KIRK OF MAQUOKETA HAS BEEN HIRED TO BE A MEMBER OF THE KMAQ SALES STAFF. THE FORMER DENISE TAYLOR IS A MAQUOKETA NATIVE AND IS MARRIED TO SCOTT KIRK AND THEY HAVE TWO BOYS, AGE 12 AND 14. SHE STARTED WORK HERE AT KMAQ YESTERDAY AND JOINS DOTTIE BAYLES, ROXANNE CLAUSING AND LOIS FISCHER IN THE SALES DEPARTMENT. WELCOME ABOARD DENISE.

HAVE A GOOD TUESDAY NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY WHEREVER YOU ARE.
