IT GOT UP INTO THE 80'S YESTERDAY. THEN RAIN LAST NIGHT AND
TODAY, WINDY AND COOL, IN THE UPPER 40'S. WARMER WEATHER COMING AGAIN
SOON.

BAD ACCIDENT JUST BEFORE 5 SATURDAY MORNING, JUST WEST OF MAQUOKETA ON HIGHWAY 64. THE VEHICLE WAS COMING TOWARD MAQUOKETA, PASSED
ANOTHER VEHICLE ON A CURVE, LOST CONTROL, ROLLED A FEW TIMES, AND
LANDED IN A FIELD. THE MALE DRIVE AND FEMALE PASSENGER WERE BOTH EJECTED (NOT WEARING SEAT BELTS) AND WERE KILLED INSTANTLY. BOTH FROM MAQUOKETA. THE GIRL WAS A SENIOR AT MCHS AND THE DRIVER WAS 19. THE SISTER OF THE DRIVER, WAS THE DRIVER OF THE OTHER CAR THAT WAS PASSED, AND REPORTEDLY, SHE CALLED 911. CHECK BOTH FUNERAL HOMES FOR SERVICES.

ZACHARY SCHUELLER OF MAQUOKETA WAS IN A ONE-VEHICLE ACCIDENT AT 5 PM
SATURDAY AFTERNOON ON 150TH STREET AND THE CAVES ROAD. HE WAS DRIVING WEST ON 150TH STREET AND FAILED TO NEGOTIATE A CURVE. HIS TRUCK WENT INTO THE DITCH WHERE IT ROLLED TWICE BEFORE COMING TO REST ON
ITS WHEELS. SCHUELLER'S 95 FORD PICKUP WAS TOTALED AND NO
INJURIES.

"OFF SHORE" RESTAURANT OVERLOOKING THE MISSISSIPPI.
