MONDAY... AND WE STILL NEED RAIN!
NICE TODAY, HIGH OF 78.
TOMORROW SHOULD BE THE SAME AND THEN WARMER THE REST OF THE WORK WEEK.   LITTLE RAIN IN FORECAST.

THE KMAQ TRAVEL 4-DAY DOOR COUNTY WISCONSIN TRIP ENDED AT 9 LAST NIGHT.      BEAUTIFUL SCENERY UP AND DOWN BOTH SHORES.     I THINK EVERYONE HAD A GOOD TIME!  OUR HOTEL WAS FIRST CLASS AND WE HAD GREAT FOOD ALL 4 DAYS.    I DIDN'T REALIZE HOW LARGE DOOR COUNTY WAS.     WE WILL TAKE  A KMAQ TRIP THERE AGAIN SOMETIME.

A PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING WILL BE HELD WEDNESDAY FROM 1 UNTIL 7 P.M. AT THE WEST CARROLL PRIMARY SCHOOL IN SAVANNA....TO TALK ABOUT A NEW BRIDGE ACROSS THE MISSISSIPPI AT SABULA.  
THE ESTIMATED $62 MILLION DOLLAR BRIDGE COMPLETION IS AT LEAST 5 YEARS AWAY.   IT WILL TAKE TWO YEARS TO BUILD AND THE OLD WILL
BE USED UNTIL THE NEW ONE IS OPENED.

IT'S "FISH FLY" TIME ALONG THE MISSISSIPPI.    TWO MOTORCYCLES CRASHED AFTER SKIDDING ON THEM ON THE SAVANNA-SABULA
BRIDGE SUNDAY MORNING.    THE CYCLES WERE NOT FROM THIS AREA AND NO INJURIES.     OVER $1,000 DAMAGE TO EACH BIKE.

ON THE POLICE BLOTTER:
BRENDA HEUER OF EAST PLATT STREET REPORTED THAT SOMEONE LIT
A FIRE PIT CLOSE TO HER HOUSE AND BURNED SOME SIDING.
DONNA COFFEE ON WEST PLATT REPORTED THE DOOR OF HER
PLACE BROKEN AND NO INDICATION AS TO IF ANYTHING WAS TAKEN.
DAVID SERAPIN STAYING AT THE COMFORT INN REPORTED HIS GPS
UNIT STOLEN FROM HIS CAR.
BARB McCRAY ON NORTH OTTO REPORTED THIS MORNING THAT HER SPRINKLER AND ZUCCHINNI WERE DAMAGED.

TWO FINALISTS WERE SELECTED FRIDAY FOR THE JUDGE OPENING
IN THE 7TH DISTRICT.     ONE OF THE TWO IS MARK LAWSON OF
BELLEVUE WHO HAS A LAW OFFICE IN MAQUOKETA.   THE OTHER
IS FROM BETTENDORF.     IOWA GOV. TERRY BRANSTAD WILL  SELECT ONE OF THE TWO.
