CITY COUNCIL MEETING TONIGHT.  

A VEHICLE PARKED IN THE WAL MART PARKING LOT WAS REPORTED
VANDALISED SATURDAY AFTERNOON.     SIERRA SCHARFF TOLD POLICE
THE INCIDENT DAMAGED HER REAR PASSENGER DOOR.

THE IOWA LEGISLATURE GOES BACK TO WORK NEXT MONDAY.
SEN. TOD BOWMAN OF MAQUOKETA, A HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATOR,
WAS ON KMAQ "JUST TALK" SHOW TODY AND SAID ONCE AGAIN THIS YEAR,
EDUCATION WILL BE A MAJOR TOPIC.   BOWMAN SAYS HE FEELS
IT IS IMPORTANT THAT LEGISLATORS SET SCHOOL FUNDING EARLY IN
THE SESSION.    AND HE SAID MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES WILL ALSO BE
A KEY ISSUE WHEN THE SESSION BEGINS NEXT MONDAY IN DES MOINES.
