IT RAINED MOST OF TODAY. TORNADO WATCHES AND WARNINGS THIS AFTENOON.
BUT, AS FAR AS WE KNOW, NO DAMAGE IN KMAQ AREA. COLD TONIGHT, WITH A LOW IN THE MID 30'S AND NO RAIN BUT COOL TOMORROW, WITH HIGH ONLY
IN MID 50'S.

THE MAQUOKETA RIVER IS RISING AND EXPECTED TO FLOOD A LITTLE SUNDAY. THAT MEANS THE CITY BALL FIELDS AT THE NORTH EDGE OF TOWN WILL BE FLOODED OVER.

A SEMI TRUCK GASOLINE DRIVE-OFF YESTERDAY AFTERNOON. 50 GALLONS PUT IN, AND THE DRIVER TOOK OFF WITHOUT PAYING....AT THE NEW TRUCK STOP JUST SOUTH OF MAQUOKETA.

OSTERHAUS PHARMACY IN MAQUOKETA WILL CLOSE THE DOWNTOWN STORE AT 6 TONIGHT. IT OPENED IN 1965. MOVING DAYS ARE TOMORROW AND SUNDAY.
THE STORE WILL BE CLOSED THOSE TWO DAYS. AND MONDAY MORNING, THE STORE WILL OPEN IN THE NEW LOCATION ON WEST PLATT STREET, IN THE FORMER
JACK AND JILL GROCERY BUILDING. THE BUILDING HAS BEEN COMPLETELY
REBUILDT. I'LL HAVE SOME PHOTOS NEXT WEEK.

HAVE A GOOD WEEKEND.
