YESTERDAY WAS CLOUDY AND WE GOT 15/100 OF AN INCH OF RAIN IN THE AFTERNOON. SUNNY AND WARM TODAY, HIGH MID 80'S AND TOMORROW AND SUNDAY, AROUND 90 IS PREDICTED. HOT ALSO THE FIRST PART OF NEXT WEEK.

THE KMAQ WEB CAM IS NOT WORKING. WE THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE THE TV CAMERA ITSELF, BUT NOW HAVE DISCOVERED IT IS WORKING. SO THE PROBLEM IS ELSWHERE. WE WILL KEEP TRYING TO GET IT WORKING AGAIN. THE MAQUOKETA POST OFFICE AND MAQUOKETA STATE BANK TIME/TEMP SIGN IS STILL THERE.

A MAQUOKETA WOMAN RECEIVED UNKNOWN INJURIES AFTER SHE HIT A VEHICLE WITH HER BICYCLE THAT SHE WAS RIDING ON WEST PLATT STREET TUESDAY MORNING. IDA MAE MATTHIESEN WAS RIDING HER BIKE DOWN THE SIDEWALK AND HIT A VEHICLE OWNED BY A CENTRAL CITY WOMAN. MATTHIESEN WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL HOSPITAL.

THE MAQUOKETA CITY COUNCIL THIS WEEK VOTED NOT TO RETURN $100,000 TO THE STATE WHICH HAD BEEN DESIGNATED FOR A RIVER WALKING TRAIL ALONG THE MAQUOKETA RIVER. THE COUNCIL WILL LOOK AT OTHER OPTIONS TO USE THE MONEY INSTEAD OF FOR THE PAVED TRAIL. WHATEVER PROJECT IS SELECTED, WILL REQUIRE AN EQUAL MATCH OF LOCAL FUNDS.

A $700,000 HOME IS GOING UP ON WEST SUMMIT STREET IN MAQUOKETA.

IOWA PLAYS IOWA STATE TOMORROW IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL AT AMES.

MAQUOKETA PLAYS AT MONTICELLO TONIGHT...A NON-DISTRICT GAME.

NO DEATHS OR BIRTHS.

HAVE A NICE WEEKEND.
