DR. PAUL KOOB HAS RESIGNED AS BOTH CLINTON COUNTY AND JACKSON COUNTY MEDICAL
EXAMINER. HE HAS HAD THE POSITION IN JACKSON COUNTY SINCE 1984 AND IN CLINTON COUNTY SINCE 2004. THE REASON GIVEN IS THAT HE SIGHTED RIGORS OF HIS SCHEDULE
AND THE DESIRE TO REDUCE SOME STRESS IN HIS LIFE. HIS DEPUTY EXAMINER IN BOTH COUNTIES, DR. ERIC PETERSON, IS EXPECTED TO SERVE IN THE POSITION ON AN INTERIM BASIS. KOOB, AGE 57, WILL CONTINUE HIS PRACTICE AT MEDICAL ASSOCIATES IN MAQUOKETA AND HIS GROUP IS IN THE PROCESS OF REMODELING THE FORMER JACK AND JILL BUILDING ON WEST PLATT STREET AND WILL MOVE INTO THE NEW OFFICES LATE THIS WINTER.
THE JACKSON COUNTY REGIONAL HEALTH CENTER (THE HOSPITAL) IN MAQUOKETA, ANNOUNCED THAT IT WILL SPONSOR FLU SHOTS AGAIN FOR JACKSON COUNTY, STARTING OCTOBER 24TH.
