THE MAQUOKETA AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE HAD THEIR ANNUAL CHRISTMAS MEETING TODAY AT THE COMFORT INN.     MUSIC BY HIGH SCHOOL CHORUS MEMBERS.   GOOD FOOD CATERED BY THE DECKER HOTEL AND NICE PRIZES.    BOB
OSTERHAUS WON THE TOP DOOR PRIZE...$100 CHAMBER BUCKS.

JACKSON COUNTY HAS A NEW ZONING ADMINISTRATOR.....BEN KOBER.
GRADUATED FROM WARTBURG COLLEGE IN 2007 AND THEN GOT HIS
MASTER'S DEGREE FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF IOWA.     HE STARTS MONDAY.
HE WAS ONE OF 21 APPLICANTS.    SINGLE AND WILL BE LIVING IN MAQUOKETA WITH HIS GRANDMOTHER JOANN HENEKE.    HE STARTS AT $42,500 A YEAR.
HE REPLACES DAVID MANNING, WHO IS RETIRING.

SOMEONE BROKE INTO THE NFO MARKETING OFFICE AND STOLE A FAX MACHINE.

A BIRTH.   A BOY TO LAYNIE BUEHL OF MAQUOKETA, BORN SATURDAY AT THE LOCAL HOSPITAL.   GRANDPARENTS ARE CLARENCE AND CECILIA BUEHL OF
MAQUOKETA.
