NO WORD SO FAR ON CAUSE OF FIRE OR WHERE IT STARTED. DAMAGE ESTIMATE, $400,000.
TOMORROW IS ELECTION DAY FOR THE FIRST WARD IN MAQUOKETA, TO FILL THE FIRST WARD COUNCIL SEAT. POLLS OPEN FROM NOON UNTIL 8 P.M. FIVE CANDIDATES.
WHOMEVER WINS WILL TAKE OFFICE IMMEDIATELY AND WILL SERVE UNTIL JANUARY 2012.
