BOYS/GIRLS STATE BOWLING TOURNAMENT TODAY IN DES MOINES. CENTRAL DEWITT BOWLER SHELBY CARRIER IN CLASS 1-A MADE HER SECOND STRAIGHT TRIP TO THE TOURNAMENT AND ROLLED A 177 AND 220 FOR A TWO-GAME HIGH OF 397, GOOD FOR 5TH PLACE. THE WINNING SCORE WAS 441. SHELBY DURING THE SEASON AVERAGED 437.

ORRIS TOLD KMAQ THAT 650 PEOPLE ENJOYED THE EVENING MEAL AND AT ONE TIME, THERE WAS OVER 1,000 TAKING IN ALL OF THE ACTIVITIES.

THIS WEDNESDAY. PROCEEDS WILL GO TO THE CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL

SCHOOL BOARD MEETING TONIGHT.
MILTON SCHECKEL, 91, OF BELLEVUE DIED YESTERDAY AT MILL VALLEY CARE CENTER IN BELLEVUE. THE FUNERAL WILL BE SATURAY. HE FARMED HIS ENTIRE LIFE. SURVIVORS INCLUDE HIS WIFE ARLETA, THREE SONS, AND TWO DAUGHTERS, INCLUDING GAIL HANLON OF MAQUOKETA. ALSO 11 GRANDCHILDREN AND 20 GREAT GRANDCHILDREN. HACHMANN FUNERAL HOME IN BELLEVUE IN IN CHARGE OF ALL ARRANGEMENTS.
RUTH KEIL, 87, OF BELLEVUE, DIED FRIDAY AT FINLEY HOSPITAL IN
DUBUQUE. THE FUNERAL WILL BE AT NOON TOMORROW. HACHMANN FUNERAL HOME IN BELLEVUE IS IN CHARGE OF ARRANGEMENTS.
RUTH KEIL IS SURVIVED BY 2 DAUGHTERS, INCLUDING DEBRA EDWARDS OF MAQUOKETA.
