MOSTLY CLOUDY TODAY. STARTED OUT AT 34 THIS MORNING AND THE TEMPERATURE WENT DOWN THROUGHOUT THE DAY. TOMORROW, SUNNY AND HIGH IN MID 20'S.

LAST NIGHT,THE MAQUOKETA BOYS LOST TO MANCHESTER, 85 TO 75 HERE.
AT MANCHESTER, THE CARDINAL GIRLS WON, 52 TO 41. FRIDAY NIGHT THEY PLAY WESTERN DUBUQUE.

MATT WINEGAR ROLLED A 300 THIS WEEK AT TIMBER LANES...AND ENDED WITH A 725 SERIES.

SHERI GLICK-CONDE, 48, OF ORLANDO, DIED LAST THURSDAY IN FLORIDA. SHE WAS BORN IN MAQUOKETA, DAUGHTER OF WARREN AND BETTY MELCHERT, WHO NOW LIVE IN SUN CITY WEST, ARIZONA. SHE IS SURVIVED BY 2 SONS AND HER PARENTS.

NEW ST. REP. TOM SCHUELLER OF MAQUOKETA WAS TAPPED LAST WEEK TO WORK ON TWO SUBCOMMITTEES THAT WILL EXAMINE THE IMPACT OF TAX AND FEES ON IOWA BUSINESSES, AS WELL AS THE CURRENT BUSINESS CLIMATE IN IOWA.
