THE CAST FOR "HONKY TONK ANGELS" ON JULY 11-13 AT OHNWARD FINE ARTS CENTER IN MAQUOKETA HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED.
ANGELA:    BELLEVUE MUSIC TEACHER ANGELA RULEY OF BALDWIN.  SHE HAS PERFORMED IN SEVERAL LOCAL PRODUCTIONS.
DARLENE:   BROOKE BYAM OF NASHVILLE, GRANDAUGHTER OF RED HENTON AND NASHVILLE RECORDING ARTIST.
SUE ELLEN:  LAURIE MYATT HELMERS, SISTER OF PAM CRAWFORD.
GREW UP IN LOST NATION BUT NOW RESIDES IN THE TWIN CITIES.
THE SHOW IS FULL OF COUNTRY SONGS.    IT AGAIN WILL BE A JOINT PRODUCTION OF OHNWARD AND THE PEACE  PIPE PLAYER.
RICH HALL WILL DIRECT.   HE IS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF OHNWARD.
HIS ASSISTANT DIRECTOR WILL BE DAWN HALL AND LAURA THOMS OF BELLLEVUE WILL BE THE PRODUCTION ASSISTANT AND CHOREOGRAPHER.   SHAWN VASQUEZ WILL BE THE MUSICAL DIRECTOR.
DINNER TOO:    OPTIONAL, BEFORE THE PERFORMANCE, FOR $10.

TICKETS:  $$15 IN ADVANCE.

IOWA PUBLIC TV PERSONALITY DAN WARDELL WILL BE AT THE MAQUOKETA PUBLIC LIBRARY FOR TWO SHOWS ON THURSDAY, JUNE 19TH   HE IS THE HOST OF IPTV KID'S CLUBHOUSE.

"HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 2"  STARTS TOMORROW   (FOR 2 WEEKS) AT THE 61 DRIVE-IN THEATRE.
"HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 2"  ALSO OPENS TOMORROW AT THE VOY 3 THEATRE IN DOWNTOWN MAQUOKETA.   RATED PG FOR ALL THE FAMILY.
IN HIGH SCHOOL BOY'S BASEBALL LAST NIGHT, MAQUOKETA WON ANOTHER DOUBLE-HEADER, DEFEATING VINTON SHELLSBURG 10 TO 0 AND 6 TO 1.
THE CARDINALS RECORD IS  NOW 8 AND 4 AND 7 AND 1 IN THE WAMAC.

IN GOLF, ALLISON VANDEMORE OF MAQUOKETA MADE THE 4A ALL-STATE GOLF TEAM.  SHE FINISHED 3RD IN THE STATE TOURNAMENT.


THERE WILL NOT BE A "FATHER'S DAY" FLY-IN, DRIVE-IN BREAKFAST THIS YEAR AT THE MAQUOKETA MUNICIPAL AIRPORT.
