THE TOTAL PROJECTED AT $14,622,974.
TOTAL EXPENSES EXPECTED TO INCREASE TO $14,423,718, A 5.3%
INCREASE, MAINLY FROM SALARIES AND $114,000 INCREASE IN INSURANCE
PREMIUMS.
THE HOSPITAL ANTICIPATES HAVING JUST OVER $19 MILLION IN CASH ON
HAND BY THE END OF THIS FISCAL YEAR.
AND AT THE MEETING, THE BOARD APPROVED THE TRANSFER OF ABOUT
$350,000 TO THE HOSPITAL AUXILIARY, WHICH WILL BE USED TO ESTABLISH AUXILIARY SCHOLARSHIPS. THE MONEY IS FROM THE MELBA KUNDE ESTATE. THE GIFT STIPULATED SCHOLARSHIPS FOR CONTINUING EDUCATION, TO BE GRANTED BY THE AUXILIARY.
DWAIN TRENKAMP OF MAQUOKETA THIS MONTH CELEBRATED 40 YEARS
WITH U.S. BANK. HE IS THE TOP MAN AT THE DOWNTOWN BANK, HAVING
STARTED WITH IT WHEN IS WAS THE JACKSON STATE SAVINGS BANK.
THERE HAVE BEEN A COUPLE OTHER NAME CHANGES BEFORE IT BECAME A
U.S. BANK. HE AND HIS WIFE LIVE ON THOMAS AVENUE, AND HE IS
A MEMBER OF THE MAQUOKETA ROTARY CLUB AND FOR MANY YEARS,
HAS BEEN THE CO-CHAIRMAN OF THE CHRISTMAS "STAR" PROGRAM IN
THE CITY. NO, HE IS NOT RETIRING.
CARLOS FOUST, AGE 84, OF ZWINGLE, DIED SUNDAY. SURIVIVORS INCLUDE
A DAUGHTER IN MAQUOKETA, KAREN TILL. THE FUNERAL IS FRIDAY AND LEONARD FUNERAL HOME IN DUBUQUE IS IN CHARGE OF ALL
ARRANGEMENTS.

SOLON DEFEATED THE GIRLS SOFTBALL TEAM, 12 TO 0 AND 13 TO 1.
THE CARDINALS ARE NOW 13 AND 9.
MAQUOKETA IS FORTUNATE TO HAVE A REALLY GOOD CAMP FOR KIDS. IT IS

GAIL AND LISA HAVE THEIR OWN FOR SALE THINGS IN THE STORE. AND THE REST ARE CONSIGNED. 1/ A CONSIGNOR CAN HAVE A DESIGNATED SPACE FOR MERCHANDISE AT A CERTAIN FEE. 2/ IF UNDER THE SIZE OF A CHAIR, AN INDIVIDUAL ITEM(S) CAN BE SOLD AT A FEE.....OR 3/ OVER THE SIZE OF A CHAIR, THE FEE TO SELL YOUR ITEM(S) IS A PERCENTAGE OF THE SALE PRICE.
