THURSDAY DAILY REPORT

TODAY...,.A DIFFERENT DAY THAN WAS FORECAST.
WE HAVE HAD A LITTLE RAIN ON AND OFF AND NO SUNSHINE AND
SO INSTEAD OF UPPER 80'S...WE ARE ABOUT 10 DEGREES COOLER.
A LITTLE MORE RAIN IS POSSIBLE TONIGHT AND TOMORROW, SUNNY
AND A HIGH OF 90.

THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF JACKSON COUNTY HAS ANNOUNCED A NEW BOARD MEMBER.
SHE IS LUCY ZEIMET.    SHE GREW UP IN BELLEVUE AND WAS INSPIRED
TO SERVE BY HER MOTHER, A FORMER BOARD MEMBER OF THE MAQUOKETA AREA FOUNDATION, THE OLD NAME OF THE FOUNDATION.    THE FOUNDATION WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1982 BY RETIRED BUSINESSMAN
BOB OSTERHAUS.

THE SUPERVISORS WERE TOLD THIS WEEK THAT WORK ON THE PENROSE HOUSE WHICH WILL BECOME COUNTY OFFICES,  IS PROGRESSING.   
COUNTY MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR SAID WORKERS ARE SPRAYING INSULATION INSIDE AND THE FURNACE WORK IS ALMOST DONE.
THE INSIDE WALLS ARE READY FOR SHEETROCK.   HE TOLD THE BOARD THAT IT WILL BE NICE BUILDING WHEN DONE.    IT IS TO BE FINISHED
IN DECEMBER ACCORDING TO CONTRACT.    IT IS LOCATED JUST WEST
OF THE LAW CENTER.

THE OLD BARN ON WEST PLATT STREET IS ALMOST COMPLETELY DOWN.

THE CLASS OF 1954 REUNION IS NEXT MONTH.    ANY QUESTIONS,
