WEDNESDAY DAILY REPORT

A PLAQUE HAS BEEN HUNG IN THE JACKSON COUNTY COURTHOUSE
WITH A FLAG WHICH HAD BEEN FLOWN OVER CAMP IRINA IN AFGHANISTAN, ALONG WITH AN OFFICIAL CERTIFICATE.    IT CAME FROM SUPERVISOR CHAIRMAN JACK WILLEY'S SON, JASON WILLEY, WHO IS SERVING IN AFGHANISTAN.
JACK WILLEY SAID HE WAS SURPRISED WHEN THE COUNTY RECEIVED THE FLAG RECENTLY.   HIS SON DID NOT TELL HIM ABOUT IT.   JACKSON COUNTY VETERANS AFFAIRS COORDINATOR TERRY CREEGEN WAS DRESSED IN CAMOFLAGUES MONDAY AFTERNOON TO PRESENT THE FLAG AND CERTIFICATE ENCASED IN A WOODEN CASE.     CREEGAN SAID THE FATIGUES
HE WAS WEARING IS WHAT CURRENT TROOPS ARE WEARING.     WILLEY
SAID THEY HAVE NOT TALKED TO THEIR SON FOR THREE WEEKS AND HOPE TO HEAR FROM HIM SOON.   JASON, WHO LIVES IN THE QUAD CITIES AND
IS A DAVENPORT POLICEMAN, HAS BEEN IN THE RESERVES FOR 27  YEARS.   WILLEY SAID HE  IS PROUD OF  HIS SON WHO WAS CALLED UP ON SEPTEMBER 11TH THIS YEAR.
