A BIG FIRE IN DOWNTOWN WYOMING YESTERDAY! NINE FIRE DEPARTMENTS (INCLUDING MAQUOKETA) SPENT NEARLY 4 HOURS AT THE
SCENE. TED'S SWINGING DOOR BAR AND GRILL WAS COMPLETELY DESTROYED. A BULLDOZER WAS USED TO TAKE IT TO THE GROUND TO
END THE FIRE. IT WAS NOT OPEN WHEN FIRE BROKE OUT AT IT AND
NO ONE WAS IN THE UPSTAIRS APARTMENT. NEXT DOOR, IS THE OLD
WYOMING HOTEL, NOW A MUSEUM, AND ITEMS WERE CARRIED OUT OF IT AND THE BUILDING WAS SAVED, BUT THERE WAS A LOT OF SMOKE DAMAGE
TO IT.
