SUNNY AND WARM TODAY...HIGH OF 41.

NEARLY 1300 ATTENDED THE KMAQ FARM AND HOME SHOW YESTERDAY.

TODAY, ATTENDANCE SO FAR IS DOWN A LITTLE.

BILL FLEMMING IS BACK IN TOWN. HE WAS MAQUOKETA HIGH SCHOOL
BASKETBALL COACH FOR 33 YEARS.
TONIGHT, AT THE MCHS NEW GYM, BETWEEN GAMES, MANY PLAYERS WHO
PLAYED ON FLEMMING'S STATE TOURNAMENT TEAMS WILL BE RECOGNIZED.
AND TOMORROW NIGHT BETWEEN GAMES, BILL WILL BE ACKNOWLEDGED FOR
BEING INDUCTED INTO THE IOWA BOY'S BASKETBALL COACHES HALL OF FAME.
BILL IS NOW ASSISTANT BASKETBALL COACH FOR MID AMERICA NAZERINE
COLLEGE IN OLATHE, KANSAS. HEAD COACH THERE IS ROCKY LAMARR,
MCHS GRAD WHEN HIS DAD WAS IN THE FEED BUSINESS AND WAS A MINISTER IN MAQUOKETA. ROCKY WILL BE IN TOWN ALSO FOR THE SPECIAL CEREMONIES
THIS WEEKEND.

THE MAQUOKETA OPTIMIST CLUB HAS A BOOTH AT THE KMAQ FARM AND HOME SHOW. THE ARE HAVING A DRAWING FOR "MEN WHO COOK" TICKETS AND ALSO HAVE INFORMATION ON THEIR FLAG PROGRAM FOR HOLIDAYS IN MAQUOKETA.
THEY MEET WEDNESDAY MORNINGS AT 7 A.M. AT THE EAGLES CLUB. THEY ARE MAQUOKETA'S LARGEST SERVICE CLUB AND HAVE BOTH MEN AND WOMEN MEMBERS. A GOOD HARD WORKING CLUB. THEY HELP SPONSOR THE "MEN WHO COOK" DINNER. SHOWN HERE: AT LEFT, RICK HENSHAW, PRESIDENT AND
AT THE RIGHT, MEMBER ROBERT SHEARER.

PEOPLE WERE REGISTERING FOR TWO FREE TICKETS TO THE NEXT PPP PRODUCTION, "THE SUNSHINE BOYS" IN MAY.

RED HENTON LAST NIGHT AT THE KMAQ FARM AND HOME SHOW. AND HE'S SINGING THERE AGAIN TODAY. HE KNOWS 12 SONGS AND SINGS THEM OVER AND OVER. HE ALSO HAS A BRAND NEW CD AND IT IS ON SALE OUT AT THE FARM SHOW
FOR $5.00.

ROSS RIVER OF MAQUOKETA AT HIS BOOTH LAST NIGHT AT THE KMAQ FARM AND HOME SHOW. YEARS AGO, WE STARTED WITH A FARM SHOW AND A HOME SHOW ON DIFFERENT DATES EACH WINTER. THEN A DOZEN YEARS AGO, WE COMBINED
THE TWO INTO ONE SHOW. ROSS, WITH HIS BUSINESS.... ROSS RIVER WICK BUILDINGS....HAS BEEN AT EVERY SHOW DATING BACK TO THE 80'S. HE HAS
BEEN A MAQUOKETA BUSINESS OWNER FOR ABOUT 55 YEARS AND HIS NUMBER ONE HELPER IS HIS WIFE, VIVIAN. THEY HAVE ADVERTISED THEIR BUSINESS ON KMAQ SINCE WE WENT ON THE AIR IN AUGUST OF 1958.

JIM FOSTER (NOW LIVING NEAR MAQUOKETA) OF FOSTER FAMILY MUSIC IN THE QUAD CITIES HAS BEEN AT EVERY FARM AND HOME SHOW WITH PIANOS AND ORGANS. THIS PHOTO TAKEN AT HIS BOOTH LAST NIGHT AND HIS ASSISTANT
IS HIS MOTHER, VERNA, OF MAQUOKETA. JIM'S DAUGHTER IS NOW THE MANAGER OF THE BUSINESS AND JIM IS SLOWING DOWN A BIT BUT STILL WORKS 3 OR 4 DAYS A WEEK.

DR. RON HILL AT DEWITT HAS HAD A BOOTH AT EVERY KMAQ FARM SHOW AND HOME SHOW SINCE WE STARTED THESE BACK IN THE 80'S. AND AGAIN THIS YEAR,
HIS 'INTERN' IS AT THE BOOTH. THIS IS JESSIE FOSTER FROM ALASKA, A GRAUDATE OF PALMER COLLEGE IN DAVENPORT. HE GOES BACK TO ALASKA
LATER THIS MONTH TO GO INTO PRACTICE THERE.
