JACKSON COUNTY AUDITOR M. JOELLE DEPPE IS PREDICTING UP TO 6,000 ABSENTEE VOTERS WILL CAST THEIR BALLOTS THIS YEAR.

HE WAS BORN IN MAQUOKETA.    SURVIVORS INCLUDE HIS WIFE, JANE....
TWO CHILDREN...A SISTER, MARY JANE MOREHEAD OF FORT MYERS...
AND 3 BROTHERS.... TOM IN ELDRIDGE, JIM IN FLORIDA, AND BOB IN KANSAS.  HE RETIRED FROM CUMMINS FILTRATION IN LAKE MILLS AFTER 37 YEARS WITH THE FIRM.    MURDOCK-LINWOOD FUNERAL HOME IN CEDAR RAPIDS IS IN CHARGE OF ARRANGEMENTS.

DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME ENDS TOMORROW NIGHT.    SET YOUR CLOCK BACK AN HOUR BEFORE YOU GO TO BED.    YOU GAIN AN HOUR  SATURDAY.

THE MAIN FLOOR WAS THE HOME OF ONE OF  MAQUOKETA'S TWO NEWSPAPERS.
