TOMORROW NIGHT'S GAMES  AT CASCADE WILL BE PLAYED!
THE FRESH-SOPH GAME WILL START ONE HOUR LATER ... AT 6 P.M.
AND IT WILL BE 8 MINUTE, VERSUS 10 MINUTE, QUARTERS.
THE VARSITY GAME AROUND 8 P.M.    WATER BREAKS FOR PLAYERS
AND REFS WILL BE TAKEN OFTEN.
AND..THE BOYS AND GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY MEET SCHEDULED FOR
SATURDAY IN CEDAR RAPIDS HAS BEEN CANCELLED.

THE JACKSON COUNTY SUPERVISORS PASSED A SOCIAL HOST ORDINANCE
THIS WEEK WHICH TIGHTENS LAWS CONCERNING PROVIDING ALCOHOL
TO MINORS.    THE COUNTY ATTORNEY SAYS THE ORDINANCE NOW PLUGS A SMALL HOLE IN THE CURRENT LAW.   SHE SAID THOSE WHO NOW  PROVIDE
A PLACE FOR MINORS TO DRINK WILL BE PUNISHED.

THE MAQUOKETA EDUCATON ASSOCIATIONN WILL HOST A SCHOOL BOARD CANDIDATES FORUM AT 5:15 THIS TUESDAY AT THE MAQUOKETA CITY
HALL.    THERE ARE 3 CANDIDATES FOR 2 POSITIONS ON THE MAQUOKETA SCHOOL BOARD.     THE FORUM WILL INCLUDE CANDIDATES RON HORAN, TANYA ROEDER AND INCUMBENT BRIAN TABOR.
ELEMENTARY TEACHER SARA HOGAN WILL BE THE MODERATOR.
THE ELECTION IS SEPTEMBER 10TH....FROM NOON UNTIL 8 P.M....AT THE COURTHOUSE.

JACKSON COUNTY CONSERVATION HAS PLANNED MONARCH
TAGGING DAYS  AT 1 P.M. THE FOUR SATURDAYS IN SEPTEMBER.
....AT THE HURSTVILLE INTERPRETIVE CENTER.
