FRIDAY DAILY REPORT

PRETTY NICE DAY TODAY,  HIGH OF 26.     SOME SNOW IS STILL FORECAST
FOR OVERNIGHT TONIGHT AND TOMORROW MORNING.    NOT MUCH
EXPECTED.  

THE MAQUOKETA SCHOOL BOARD VOTED TO MOVE FORWARD WITH THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A SHARING AGREEMENT WITH CLINTON COMMUNITY
COLLEGE FOR ADVANCED MANUFACTURING PROGRAMMING CLASSES.
THE HIGH SCHOOL WANTS TO OFFER TWO SECTIONS OF THE CLASS AT THE SCHOOL FOR DUAL CREDIT BEGINNING WITH THE SECOND SEMESTER IN
JANUARY.      NO INSTRUCTOR AT THIS TIME, BUT THEY ARE LOOKING FOR
ONE.

THE MAQUOKETA HIGH SCHOOL HOSA GROUP HAS BEEN APPROVED BY THE SURGEON GENERAL'S OFFICE TO BE THE FIRST IOWA JUNIOR MEDICAL
RESERVE CORPS.     THE MISSION IS TO  PREPARE HOSA MEMBERS TO SUCESSFULLY PURSUE A CAREER IN HEALTH CARE AND BECOME
RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS IN THE COMMUNITY.    PAULETTE HORNER IS THE HOSA COORDINATOR AND TOLD KMAQ NEWS THERE ARE 25 MEMBERS OF THE FUTURE HEALTH PROFESSIONALS GROUP AT THE HIGH SCHOOL.
SHE SAID SHE IS NOW IN THE PROCESS OF OFFICIALLY FORMING
PARTNERSHIPS THROUGH OUT THE LOCAL HEALTH COMMUNITY.

CLARK AT THE PLAY-BY-PLAY MIKE.

THE NEAT LITTLE SANTA ABOVE, 6-INCHES TALL STUFFED WITH RICE,
WAS MADE BY BARBER STEVE STUCKEL'S LITTLE GIRL LINDA.
SHE GAVE IT TO ME THIS WEEK WHILE I WAS HAVING COFFEE AT McDONALD'S.
ANYONE SEE THIS RARE JET STREAM THIS MORNING LOOKING SOUTH FROM MAQUOKETA?
I HAVE NO INFO ON IT.

AGAIN THIS YEAR, STARTING MONDAY,  CAROLING WILL BEGIN AT THE MAQUOKETA STATE BANK "MAIN" BANK, DOWNTOWN.
THIS MONDAY, 10:45 A.M., THE CAROLING WILL BE DONE BY THE CARDINAL
SCHOOL 2ND GRADERS, MRS. EVANS AND MRS. ALDEMAN'S CLASSES.

AND AT 3:30 P.M. MONDAY,  CAROLS BY THE  "LONG DRAWN SILVER" FLUTE
ENSEMBLE.
