MINOR INJURIES IN A CAR-SEMI ACCIDENT FRIDAY NIGHT ON 61 NEAR THE CAVES EXIT. A 42 YEAR OLD DUBUQUE MAN WAS CHARGED FOR FAILURE TO MAINTAIN CONTROL OF HIS CAR. HE WAS GOING NORTH ON 61 AND RAN INTO A SEMI TRUCK DRIVEN BY MICHAEL MOORE, AGE 51, OF MAQUOKETA. $10,000 DAMAGE TO THE CAR AND $2,500 DAMAGE TO THE SEMI.

THE MAQUOKETA FOOTBALL SEASON STARTS THIS FRIDAY NIGHT
AT OELWEIN. IOWA STATE STARTS THEIR SEASON THIS THURSDAY NIGHT AND IOWA BEGINS THE SEASON SATURDAY.
