MONDAY DAILY REPORT

YES..IT IS COLD IN MAQUOKTA.
TODAY ALSO WINDY.
BUT PARTLY SUNNY SKIES  HELPED.
DOWN TO 3 ABOVE TONIGHT.
NO RELIEF UNTIL THIS WEEKEND.
NO NEW SNOW ON THE GROUND.'

THE MAQUOKETA VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CALLED TO
T & J MANUFACTURING ON EAST PLATT STREET AT 10:45 THIS MORNING.
THE FIRE WAS IN THE DUST COLLECTOR AND FIREMEN PUT IT OUT
AND WERE THERE FOR ABOUT 45 MINUTES.

MAQUOKETA POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING A ROBBERY  AT B & C
LIQUOR ON EAST PLATT STREET.    AN UNDERTERMINED AMOUNT OF
MONEY WAS TAKEN FROM THE SAFE.  

THE CANTON BRIDGE IS ONCE AGAIN OPEN ON HIGHWAY 136.   IT HAS
BEEN OPEN ABOUT 10 DAYS, BUT KMAQ WAS NEVER INFORMED.

MAQUOKETA CITY COUNCIL MEETING AT 7 TONIGHT.

LONGTIME BELLEVUE BUSINESSMAN CHUCK SCHROEDER, AGE 80, DIED SATURDAY MORNING AT MERCY IN DUBUQUE.   HE AND HIS WIFE ANN
WERE IN THE RESTAURANT BUSINESS UNTIL RETIRING.   MANY OF YOU
PROBABLY ATE AT THEIR POPULAR ANCHOR INN RESTAURANT.
