SUNDAY DAILY

I TOOK THIS PHOTO AT 10 LAST NIGHT AT THE "CODFISH HOLLOW BARNSTORMERS"
CONCERT NORTHEAST OF MAQUOKETA.    "DAWES" .. A 5 PIECE ROCK BAND
WAS ON STAGE, LAST NIGHT (ALSO FRIDAY NIGHT) AND BOTH NIGHTS, A SELL-OUT.
HUNDREDS OF CARS PARKED IN THE FARM FIELD, TAKEN  TO THE BARN BY TRACTOR AND WAGON, WITH HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE LISTENING THE MUSIC (STANDING) AND HUNDREDS MORE OUTSIDE.   SOMETHING TO SEE.
NEXT CONCERT IS SATURDAY NIGHT, AUGUST 10TH, FRONM 8 TO 11, FEATURING
"THE ARTISANILS" ANOTHER 5  PIECE BAND.    TICKETS $35 AND $40 CAN BE
PURCHASED ON THEIR WEBSTITE.     DIDN'T SEE MANY LOCAL FANS, BUT
CARS INDICATED PEOPLE FROM ALL OVER THE MIDWEST.     THESE PEOPLE
SPEND LOTS OF HOTEL, FOOD AND OTHER MONEY IN MAQUOKETA WHEN
TAKING IN A SHOW.    
BUSY ALSO LAST NIGHT WITH BIG TURN-OUT AT THE STOCK CAR RACES,
AND NEARLY FULL LOT FOR THE 3RD WEEKEND OF "THE LION KING" AT THE
61 DRIVE-IN.



BIG NEW SIGN WHEN COMING INTO MAQUOKETA FROM THE SOUTH ON 4-LANE 61.        DOING THE POINTING?......THAT'S BRAD. ....10-FEET TALL.








THE RENOVATION OF GOODENOW FIELD IS ALMOST COMPLETED.     OVER A HALF-MILLION DOLLAR PROJECT.   LOOKS GREAT!
