WITH A GOOD SCORE OF 43.

IOWA'S BEST BURGER WINNER IS THE CHUCKWAGON SERVED AT THE
CHUCKWAGON RESTAURANT AT ADAIR.   THE WINNER WAS ANNOUNCED YESTERDAY BY THE IOWA BEEF INDUSTRY COUNCIL.    IN THE TOP 10 WAS THE BURGER BY PERXACTLY BAR AND GRILL IN MAQUOKETA.    ADAIR
IS LOCATED WEST OF DES MOINES.    MAQUOKETA MCHS GRADS GARY AND
CHERYL (FOWLER) MEYER LIVE THERE.

THE MAQUOKETA 7TH AND 8TH GRADE BAND LAST SATURDAY DID WELL
IN ADVENTURELAND'S BAND FESTIVAL.   BAND WERE FROM ALL OVER
THE STATE.    THE CARDINALS GOT "BEST IN CLASS", GETTING A TROPHY FOR THE 3RD YEAR IN A ROW.


AT THE SUPERVISOR'S MEETING THIS MORNING, COUNTY TREASURER
NANCY ROLING ANNOUNCED THAT CAROL GERLACH LUCKE WILL
RETIRE JUNE 24TH AFTER WORKING 27 YEARS IN THE OFFICE.

STARTS FRIDAY NIGHT AT THE VOY THEATRE AND THE 61 DRIVE-IN THEATRE.    IT WILL BE THE #1 MOVIE ON THE WEEKEND NATIONWIDE.
