THE BEAUTIFUL WEATHER IS HERE AS PROMISED!

MORE THROUGH THE WEEKEND!

THE MAQUOKETA HIGH SCHOOL "CLUB HOPE" STUDENTS AND CHAPERONES
WILL BE DELAYED LEAVING KENYA BECAUSE OF THE FIRE IN THE
INTERNATIONALS TERMINAL AT THE AIRPORT IN AFRICA.
KMAQ NEWS HAS BEEN TOLD THEY ARE SAFE AND THIER PARENTS
HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED.     IT IS NOT KNOW AT THIS TIME WHEN THEY
WILL BE ABLE TO LEAVE FOR HOME.

THE MAQUOKETA CITY HALL WILL BE CLOSED FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 13TH,
TO ALLOW THE EMPLOYEES TO VOLUNTEER AT LITTLE BEAR PARK.
CITY MANAGER BRIAN WAGNER TOLD THE CITY COUNCIL HE HOPED
IT WOULD SEND A MESSAGE TO COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO ALLOW THEIR EMPLOYEES TO PARTICIPATE IN THE REBUILDING OF THE PARK.
HE SAID EMPLOYEES WILL BE TAKING A VACATION OR PAID TIME OFF FOR THE DAY.

TERRY MARLOWE, 74, OF BLUE GRASS, DIED TUESDAY AT HIS HOME.
SURVIVORS INCLUDE A BROTHER, TOM MARLOWE OF MAQUOKETA.
