THEY ARE BUSY HERE AT THE FORMER LOCATION OF THEISEN'S .....ON EAST PLATT STREET.....PREPARING THE BUILDING FOR THE NEW HOME OF K MOTOR
SPORTS. IT WILL GIVE THEM FOUR TIMES MORE ROOM AND A MORE VISABLE
LOCATION. MAQUOKETANS WILL BE HAPPY TO SEE THE OLD BUILDING
COME BACK TO LIFE AGAIN.
THIS IS THE PRESENT BUILDING FOR K MOTOR SPORTS NEXT TO FS
AT THE SOUTH EDGE OF MAQUOKETA. IT MOVES TO EAST PLATT
STREET AND IS FOR SALE.
WENT WITH MY GRANDDAUGHTER SARA TO VISIT THE "EXOTIC PET STORE"
ON SOUTH JONES AVENUE THE OTHER NIGHT. IT IS OWNED BY BRIAN AND
KIM RIXEN AND THEY WERE THERE, BUSY CARING FOR ALL THE PETS.
WHAT A SELECTION...THE STORE IS FULL...FROM SNAKES TO BIRDS TO
FISH AND MORE. NOTE THE CORAL TANK ABOVE. CORAL, ANIMALS, NOT
PLANTS. THEY ARE HAND-FED BY BRIAN. BRIAN SAID THEY HAVE THE
LARGEST DISPLAY OF CORAL IN JACKSON AND DUBUQUE COUNTIES.
THEY HAVE BEEN IN BUSINESS A YEAR AND BUSY SEVEN DAYS
A WEEK. OPEN DAILY AT 11 AND SUNDAYS AT NOON AND THEY DON'T CLOSE
UNTIL 6 OR AFTER. GOOD PLACE TO TAKE THE KIDS FOR A VISIT DURING
THE HOLIDAY.
