A NICE DAY AT THE JACKSON COUNTY FAIR....SUNNY, BREEZY AND A HIGH
OF 80.
GOOD FORECAST ALSO FOR THE REST OF THE WEEKEND.
NOW...IF WE COULD JUST GET SOME MORE RAIN.

ATTENDANCE AT THE FAIR HAS BEEN UP THE FIRST TWO DAYS.
UP OVER A HUNDRED WEDNESDAY AND OVER 500 YESTERDAY.
WINNING $100 CASH LAST NIGHT....AND ALL FROM MAQUOKETA....GARY MOHL, LeANN WIDEL, JOHN WEBER, BRIANNA WILLIAMS, AND MARY IRWIN.

A 7-YEAR-OLD MAQUOKETA GIRL IS AT UNIVERSITY HOSPITALS IN IOWA
CITY WITH CRITICAL INJURIES AFTER SHE RODE HER BIKE IN FRONT OF
A CAR LAST NIGHT ON EAST PLATT STREET.    THE BIKE DRIVEN BY
VICTORIA BREWSTER VEERED OUT INTO TRAFFIC AND WAS STRUCK
BY A CAR DRIVEN BY PATRICIA O'DONNELL OF MAQUOKETA.

A BIRTH:
BETH AND NOEL SAUER OF MAQUOKETA ARE PARENTS OF A BOY BORN AT 12:43 THIS MORNING AT UNIVERSITY HOSPITALS IN IOWA CITY.
GRANDPARENTS ARE JACK AND ANNA TEBBE OF MAQUOKETA.

FAIR IN MAQUOKETA.     AND THE SHOW THIS WEEK HAD A SPECIAL DIVISION
TO CELEBRATE THE ANNIVERSARY.    ABOVE, THE WINNING ENTRY, BY

THE PORK CHOP REVUE  IS ONE OF SEVERAL POPULAR FREE DAILY SHOWS AT THE JACKSON COUNTY FAIR IN MAQUOKETA.    I NEVER KNEW HOGS
COULD BE SO TALENTED.    THE PORKER SHOW WILL END SATURDAY AND WILL NOT  BE ON THE GROUNDS FOR THE LAST DAY OF THE FAIR, SUNDAY.

IT.    NORTHEY WAS ALSO AT A PAST KMAQ FARM AND HOME SHOW.   HE
