TUESDAY DAILY REPORT

ONLY A CHANCE OF RAIN AND HIGHS AGAIN WHERE THEY SHOULD BE
AT THIS TIME OF THE YEAR, IN THE 70'S.

THE MAQUOKETA CARDINAL GIRLS AND BOYS TRACK TEAMS WILL HAVE REPRESENTATIVES  AT THE STATE MEET, STARTING THURSDAY, AT DRAKE STADIUM IN DES MOINES.   HERE THEY ARE:
BOYS:   THURSDAY:  HIGH JUMP, XAVIER ADAMS, SOPHOMORE.    100 METER DASH, JUNIOR JACOB KLOFT.    400 METERS, FRESHMAN JARED TYRRELL.
GIRLS:  FRIDAY:   400 HURDLES, SOPHOMORE HAILY SCHWENKER,
100 HURDLES, HAILY SCHWENKER AND SOPHOMORE, JANEY SAUNDERS.
SHUTTLE HURDLE RELAY, HAILY SCHWENKER, JANEY SAUNDERS, FRESHMAN
BRITTANY TEBBE AND SOPHOMORE SHELBY PETTYJOHN.

GIRLS GOLF YESTERDAY:   MAQUOKETA, CLINTON AND PLEASANT VALLEY TRIANGULAR AT THE OAKS AT CLINTON.....PV TOOK FIRST.    BEST MAQUOKETA SCORE WAS A 48 BY LIZ GAVIN.     THE MEDALIST WAS BRITTNEY KOPPES WITH A 36 AND SHE IS THE GRANDAUGHTER OF MARILYN AND
JIM RANKIN OF  MAQUOKETA.  
BOYS GOLF LAST FRIDAY, 3-A SECTIONAL AT PIN OAK AT MANCHESTER...
MANCHESTER TOOK FIRST.     DEWITT SECOND.    THE CARDINALS
FINISHED 6TH AND BEST  SCORE FOR MAQUOKETA WAS AN 83 BY
CAM THEDE.
SOCCER YESTERDAY....GIRLS....MAQUOKETA 5, NORTHEAST 0.

BOWLING:    NEW PRESIDENT OF THE MAQUOKETA MEN'S BOWLING
ASSOCIATION, JAY SMITH.    LAST YEAR, MIKE OLSON WAS PRESIDENT.
JOHN DAEHLER CONTINUES AS ASSOCIATION MANAGER.    ELECTED HONORARY MEMBER OF ASSOCIATION, NICK KEYS AND ELECTED TO THE
MAQUOKETA HALL OF FAME, LONGTIME  GOOD BOWLER DAVE CLARK.

THE MAQUOKETA PEACE PIPE PLAYERS COMMUNITY THEATRE HAS AWARDED THIS YEAR'S $500 PERFORMING ARTS SCHOLARSHIP TO MACKINZIE INTLEKOFER, A SENIOR AT MCHS, THE DAUGHTER OF MARK
AND KAREN WHO WILL BE ATTENDING THE UNIVERSITY OF IOWA
THIS FALL.    THIS IS THE 7TH YEAR TO PRESENT A SCHOLARSHIP.
A PORTION OF THE DONATIONS RECEIVED FROM CONCESSIONS AT THE PEACE PIPE PLAYERS PERFORMANCES IS SOLELY USED TO FUND THE
ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP.
