AND SATURDAY. LIGHT SNOW LAST NIGHT AGAIN AND
THIS MORNING AND 2 OR 3 MORE INCHES FORECAST LATER
TODAY AND TOMORROW. LAST YEAR IN JANUARY, WE GOT
JUST OVER 11 INCHES. WE WILL BE THERE SOON ...WITH OVER HALF
THE MONTH LEFT.
AND, VERY COLD WEATHER IS COMING TUESDAY AND FOR REST OF THE WEEK.

THE MAQUOKETA BASKETBALL TEAM HOSTED SHERRARD, ILLINOIS IN A GAME LAST NIGHT AT THE NEW MAQUOKETA HIGH SCHOOL GYM AND MAQUOKETA WON
58 TO 40. BOTH DILLON O'CONNEL AND MATT BOPES SCORED 18 POINTS FOR THE CARDINALS. THE GAME WAS SCHEDULED SOME TIME AGO WHEN THEIR COACH
(SUE HUTTON'S SON) WAS A MAQUOKETA NATIVE. HE SINCE LOST HIS JOB, EVEN THOUGH HE HAD A WINNING PROGRAM, BUT THE GAME WENT ON ANYWAY.
THURSDAY NIGHT, MARK BECK WAS RE-ELECTED FIRE CHIEF FOR MAQUOKETA.
ALSO RE-ELECTED: MKE DEMOSS, FIRE ASSOCIATION SECRETARY AND MATT TRANEL, TREASURER.
KEN AND KIMBERLY GOODENOW OF APPLE VALLEY, MINNESOTA, HAD A GIRL
LAST NIGHT UP THERE....THEIR FIRST CHILD. NAMED LILLIAN ROSE.
KENNY WAS A GOOD STUDENT ANNOUNCER FOR KMAQ A QUITE A FEW YEARS BACK.
