LOTS OF RAIN OVER THE WEEKEND.
THIS MORNING, CLOUDY...... AND SUNNY THIS AFTERNOON, WITH A HIGH OF 69 TODAY.

MAQUOKETA'S FOOTBALL TEAM BEAT ANAMOSA FRIDAY NIGHT, 36 TO 0.
THIS FRIDAY NIGHT, IS HOMECOMING AND THE CARDINALS HOST WEST DELAWARE, MANCHESTER.
HEATHER WHITE WAS VOTED HOMECOMING QUEEN. SHE IS THE DAUGHTER OF DONNA AND MYRON WHITE. THE HOMECOMING KING IS ERIC MCCREEDY, SON OF CINDY GODDARD.

THE AUTOMATIC STOP AND GO LIGHTS AT OLIVE AND PLATT WILL BE CHANGED NEXT MONDAY.
THE IOWA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION GAVE APPROVAL TO HAVING THE TRAFFIC LIGHTS
BE ALL GREEN FOR PLATT STREET TRAFFIC AND FLASHING RED FOR TRAFFIC ON OLIVE.
THEN AFTER TWO WEEKS, THE LIGHTS WILL BE SHUT OFF AND BAGS WILL COVER THEM.
THE TRAFFIC LIGHTS WILL NOT BE REMOVED UNTIL IT HAS BEEN DECIDED THAT THE NEW PLAN IS WORKING WELL.

THE TIMBER LANES SIGN ON EAST PLATT STREET CAUGHT ON FIRE EARLY SATURDAY MORNING.
APPARENTLY CAUSED BY AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM. IT WAS GUTTED BY THE FIRE.
FIREMEN WERE CALLED AND EXTINGUISHED IT QUICKLY.

65 PEOPLE WALKED IN THE ALZHEIMER'S MEMORY WALK SATURDAY IN MAQUOKETA AND RAISED OVER
$6,000.

THERE'S A MAQUOKETA SCHOOL BOARD MEETING TONIGHT.

THE JACKSON COUNTY PUBLIC HOSPITAL BOARD MEETS TUESDAY AT 4:30 AND AN UPDATE WILL BE GIVEN ON THE HOSPTITAL'S PROPOSED NAME AND LOGO CHANGE.

MARY ROWAN, 77, OF MAQUOKETA DIED SUNDAY AT HER HOME.
AND MADELON ROMER, AGE 85, DIED THIS MORNING AT FINLEY HOSPITAL IN DUBUQUE.
