THIS IS A PIECE OF "APRICOT" PIE!
BAKED IN MARY McLAUGHLIN'S OVEN, BY MARY.
GROWN IN HER BACKYARD (MAYBE HER SON'S BACKYARD) RIGHT HERE
IN JACKSON COUNTY.
THE PIE PURCHASED JUST AFTER 4 P.M. TUESDAY AT THE "FARMER'S MARKET" IN MAQUOKETA, BY ASHER SCHROEDER.
AT ROTARY, ASHER TELLS ME HOW GOOD IT IS.
I REPLIED THAT I'M 73 AND NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I HAD A PIECE OF
"APRICOT PIE".
AND HE SAYS HE WILL DROP OFF A PIECE TO ME AT KMAQ.
WHICH HE DID YESTERDAY AFTERNOON.
I TOOK IT HOME AND IT WAS MY DINNER DESSERT (NANCY SNITCHED
A LITTLE).....AND IT WAS GOOD...VERY GOOD.
THANKS MARY...THANKS ASHER...AND THANKS TO THE "FARMER'S MARKET" WHERE PIE IS ON SALE
EVERY TUESDAY.
BUT FOR THE REALLY GOOD OR UNUSUAL PIE,
GET THERE AHEAD OF ASHER.
TO AVOID MOUTH-WATERING....DON'T CLICK-ON THIS PHOTO TO ENLARGE IT.
