CAMP COURAGEOUS BREAKFAST SUNDAY

CHARLIE BECKER, (RIGHT)  CAMP COURAGEOUS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR FROM DAY ONE,  BEING INTERVIEWED BY WMT AT THE SUNDAY BREAKFAST.
THE CAMP'S NEW LAKE JUST TO THE WEST IS READY FOR FINISHING TOUCHES AND WILL OPEN LATE THIS SUMMER.     THE NEW RAILROAD WILL CIRCLE DOWN TO IT AND STOP AT THE NEW LAKE DEPOT.   THE CAMP JUST GROWS, AND GROWS AND GROWS AND SERVES MORE CAMPERS EVERY  YEAR
LORAS FROST, VOLUNTEER FROM DELMAR, READY TO MAKE ANOTHER OMELET.   THERE MUST HAVE BEEN 40 MAKING THEM.   THEY WERE DELICIOUS AND ONLY $6.00.
TIM AND HILIARY MELVOLD FROM DUBUQUE WITH HILIARY'S GRANDMOTHER
FROM CEDAR RAPIDS.    HER GRANDMOTHER IS A LONGTIME MEMBER OF THE CAMP COURAGEOUS BOARD.     AND, SHE AND ANN OSTERHAUS FROM
MAQUOKETA WERE ROOMMATES AT THE UNIVERSITY OF IOWA QUITE A FEW YEARS BACK.   TIM'S MOTHER IS SHERI MELVOLD OF MAQUOKETA (KMAQ NEWS DIRECTOR) AND HIS FATHER IS DOUG MELVOLD, EDITOR OF THE MAQUOKETA SENTINEL-PRESS.   HIS GRANDMOTHER IS FRANCIS MELVOLD OF MAQUOKETA.   TIM (A  FORMER KMAQ NIGHTIME ANNOUNCER WHILE AT MAQUOKETA HIGH SCHOOL) IS NOW IN THE RECRUITMENT DEPARTMENT OF THE UNIVERSITY OF DUBUQUE, WHERE 1/3 OF THE STUDENTS ARE FROM OUTSIDE IOWA.
THE NEXT CAMP COURAGEOUS  BREAKFAST (AND THEY SERVE THOUSANDS AT EACH) WILL BE THIS FALL.    TRY TO MAKE IT!     NANCY AND I WILL BE THERE AGAIN!
WE ARE ANXIOUS TO SEE THE FINISHED LAKE.
