FOGGY THIS MORNING...MOSTLY CLOUDY AND COOL THIS AFTERNOON. MORE LIGHT SNOW IN FORCAST FOR THE MIDDLE OF THE WEEK, BUT WEEKEND LOOKS GOOD FOR EASTER IN MAQUOKETA.

SOME OF YOU I SUPPOSE WILL BE HOME FOR THE HOLIDAY.

BIG STORY LATE YESTERDAY! THIRTEEN EMPLOYEES OF MAQUOKETA WEB
PRINTING, OWNED BY THE MELVOLDS, ARE A LOT RICHER TODAY AFTER THEY WON $400,000 IN THE POWERBALL DRAWING SATURDAY NIGHT. THEY BOUGHT 1 TICKET AND WON THE PRIZE BY MATCHING FIVE WHITE NUMBERS AND PURCHASING THE POWER PLAY MULTIPLIER. WITHOUT THAT MULTIPLIER,
THEY WOULD ONLY HAVE WON $200,000.
THE GROUP HAS BEEN BUYING TICKETS SINCE LAST SUMMER. EACH WILL RECEIVE ABOUT $30,000 BEFORE TAXES. THE WINNERS ARE: CINDY SELLNAU...
R.B. MELVOLD....AMY LUSKEY....DON KUTSCH....REBECCA KUTSCH....KIM CORNELIUS...
DEB DEVORE...JEAN DUHME....JODI ELMEGREEN....NANCY HINK....AUDREY WINEGAR....
AND LONGTIME MAQUOKETA SENTINEL-PRESS EMPLOYEE, DIANNE BARKER.
THE WINNING TICKET WAS PURCHASED AT CASEY'S.

AT THE SPRINGBROOK FIRE DEPARTMENT BREAKFAST SUNDAY, I BOUGHT A TICKET
IN THEIR RAFFLE.
AND I WON.....
A NICE EASTER BASKET.

FREDA LENHART, AGE 102, OF MAQUOKETA, DIED THIS MORNING AT CRESTRIDGE IN MAQUOKETA. SERVICES PENDING AT CARSON'S.

ADAM HEPKER'S TEAM LOST LAST NIGHT BY 3 POINTS IN THE BRANSON TOURNAMENT. THEY FINISHED OUT THE SEASON WITH 31 WINS AND 5 LOSSES. AND AFTER THE GAME, ASSISTANT COACH BILL FLEMMING
ANNOUNCED HE IS AGAIN RETIRING FROM BASKETBALL COACHING. HIS FIRST RETIRMENT WAS AS MCHS HEAD COACH HERE IN MAQUOKETA A FEW YEARS AGO.

HAD MY FIRST DAIRY QUEEN CONE TODAY! THEY'RE OPEN FOR ANOTHER SEASON.
AND YES..IT WAS GOOD!

MY FOOT IS GETTING BETTER, BUT STILL IN A BOOT. ...A STILL PAIN.

AND ...WITH THAT HEALTH REPORT...I'LL END ANOTHER "ALMOST DAILY".
