THE VOTE WAS 3 TO 2 TO DONATE $350,000 OVER 5 YEARS TOWARD THE INDOOR POOL AND GYMNASIUM PROJECT. THE MOTION WOULD GIVE THE ARC $70,000 WHEN THE CITY RECEIVED BIDS ON A CONTRACT FOR THE PROJECT.
SO, IT IS AN "IF AND WHEN" PLEDGE. BOARD MEMBERS DAVE KNOEBEL AND RON FRANDSEN VOTED AGAINST THE MEASURE AND BOARD MEMBERS BOB GAVEN, MARY LOU RISSER AND KENT SHOUSE VOTED IN FAVOR. GAVIN WAS THE ARC CHAIRMAN AT ONE TIME, BUT IS NOT ON THE ARC BOARD NOW.
