MORE MONDAY REPORT , NORTHEAST HIGH SCHOOL, GOOSE LAKE

YESTERDAY, I ATTENDED THE OPEN HOUSE AT GOOSE LAKE FOR THE
NEW ADDITION TO THE HIGH SCHOOL.    VERY IMPRESSIVE WERE THE
NEW GYM AND 3 SCIENCE CLASSROOMS,  A STEM ROOM AND NEW CONCESSION AREA.
SUPT. JIM COX HAS BEEN THE HEAD MAN AT NORTHEAST FOR 22 YEARS AND
HAS MADE THE PRE-SCHOOL THROUGH 12TH GRADE BUILDINGS AND
ATHLETIC AREA INTO A CAMPUS  2ND TO NONE IN THE STATE OF IOWA.
A COUPLE YEARS AGO, COX AND HIS BOARD FINISHED BUILDING A
$6-MILLION AUDITORIUM FOR HIGH SCHOOL PLAYS AND CONCERTS AND
IT IS ONE OF IOWA'S FEW STORM SHELTERS, TORNADO PROOF.   IF A TORNADO WAS SPOTTED IN THE AREA, ALL STUDENTS  COULD BE
TAKEN THERE IN LESS THAN 10 MINUTES.
SUPT. COX TOLD ME THE  2015-2016 SCHOOL YEAR WILL BE HIS LAST AND HE WILL RETIRE.

GO REBELS!
