HAVE NOT HAD A REPORT SINCE MONDAY BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN EXTREMELY BUSY AND ALSO BECAUSE THE "BLOG" THAT DOES THIS WAS NOT WORKING.

WE HAD 3 1/2 INCHES OF SNOW EARLIER IN WEEK AND YESTERDAY, SUNNY AND HIGH OF 12 AND TODAY, SHOULD BE SUNNY AND HIGH OF 15 TODAY....AND INTO THE 20'S EARLY NEXT WEEK FOR A SHORT WHILE.

DURING THE NOON HOUR YESTERDAY, THE MAQUOKETA ROTARY CLUB AND CHAMBER OF COMMERCE HANDED OUT THEIR 3 AG AWARDS. THE AGRI-INDUSTRY BUSINESS AWARD WENT TO KMAQ'S LEIGHTON HEPKER, WHO HAS BEEN WITH KMAQ, FIRST AS NEWS DIRECTOR AND THEN STATION MANAGER, FOR 32 YEARS. THE PUBLIC SERVICE AWARD WENT TO JACKSON COUNTY'S KEITH KLEIS, WHO HAS BEEN THE AG INSTRUCTOR AT MIDLAND HIGH SCHOOL IN WYOMING FOR 11 YEARS. FARMERS OF THE YEAR, 54 YEARS OF FARMING AND MARRIED 54 YEARS, RICHARD AND DELORES EGGERS OF RURAL
ANDREW.
RED HENTON WAS ENJOYED FOR SEVERAL HOURS YESTERDAY AND HE NOW HAS A BRAND NEW CD OUT, WITH ABOUT 15 DIFFERENT SONGS AND IT AGAIN FOR SALE FOR ONLY $5 ....HERE AT KMAQ. SEND $6 IF YOU WANT IT TO BE SENT TO YOU.

THE EAGLES CLUB, VERY ACTIVE IN TOWN WITH THEIR OWN BAR AND RESTAURANT, TONIGHT IS HAVING A SWEETHEART DINNER OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, TO BENEFIT
OPERATION NEW VIEW'S HEAD START PROGRAM AND THE JUNIOR EAGLE'S CLUB.

A WINE-TASTING EVENT TO BENIFIT JACKSON COUNTY HOSPICE WILL BE THIS SUNDAY AFTERNOON FROM 2 UNTIL 5 AT SQUIRES MANOR BED AND BREAKFAST.
