60 TODAY...THEN FALLING TEMERATURES THIS AFTERNOON. A COLD FORECAST FOR THE NEXT DAYS AND NIGHTS. MIGHT HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL EASTER SUNDAY FOR A DECENT DAY. SUNDAY, COULD BE PARTLY SUNNY AND A HIGH AROUND 50.
A STORM WENT THROUGH JACKSON COUNTY ABOUT 11:30 LAST NIGHT AND
DID EXTENSIVE DAMAGE TO TREES AND BUILDINGS IN MONMOUTH, BALDWIN,
FULTON AND ANDREW. IT RAINED ALL NIGHT, WITH MAQUOKETA GETTING ABOUT 3/4 INCH OF RAIN, BUT SOME OF THE AREAS WHERE THE NEAR-TORNADO
WENT THROUGH GOT BETWEEN 2 AND 3 INCHES OF RAIN. THIS IS APRIL.
DISAPPOINTING WEATHER SEEMS TO BE THE RULE. GUESS WE'LL HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL MAY.
THE MAQUOKETA HIGH SCHOOL GOLF TEAM WON THEIR OPENING GOLF MEET
YESTERDAY AFTERNOON. SOCKER AND TRACK ALSO STARTS THIS WEEK, SO THE LOCAL SPRING SPORT SEASON IS HERE.
THERE ARE SOME NEW PHOTOS BELOW THIS REPORT TO TAKE A LOOK AT.
