JACKSON COUNTY AUDITOR BRIAN MOORE SPOKE AT ROTARY TODAY AND TOLD THE CLUB THAT STARTING WITH THE JUNE PRIMARY, ALL MAQUOKETA RESIDENTS,
6 PRECINCTS, INCLUDING THE RURAL ONE, WILL VOTE AT THE PEARSON CENTER
ON THE FAIRGROUNDS.    THERE WILL BE 6 WELL-MARKED STATIONS.

GIRLS SOFTBALL LAST NIGHT, THE CARDINAL GIRLS LOST THEIR SEASON OPENER
TO NORTH SCOTT, 8 TO 0.


WORKERS STARTED WORKING THIS WEEK ON GETTING THE ABOVE BUILDING
READY TO BE THE MAQUOKETA'S COMMUNITY CUPBOARD LOCATION EVERY
FRIDAY MORNING.     THE MAQUOKETA MINISTERIAL ASSOCIATION IS RAISING
MONEY TO BUY IT AND IT WILL BE OWNED BY THE ASSOCIATION AND USED
AS THE CUPBOARD BUILDING FOR MANY YEARS TO COME.     NO RENT.   $290,000
IS BEING RAISED TO BUY THE BUILDING AND GET IT READY TO USE, AND THEY ARE HALF-WAY TO THE GOAL.    A GOOD AMOUNT OF THE MONEY WILL BE PUT IN ESCROW FOR MAINTAINING THE BUILDING.   DROP OFF HERE AT KMAQ YOUR
CONTRIBUTION OR SEND IT TO KMAQ AND WE WILL FORWARD IT ON TO THE
ASSOCIATION.    WELL OVER 100, SOMETIMES OVER 150, COME FOR FREE FOOD
FOR THEIR FAMILY EVERY FRIDAY MORNING.
