DESPITE LITTLE SUNSHINE AND EVEN SOME EARLY AFTERNOON SNOW,
WE DID GET UP TO 32 TODAY.
TOMORROW, FOR DAY 1 OF THE TWO-DAY KMAQ FARM AND  HOME SHOW,
WE EXPECT SUNNY SKIES AND HIGH OF 31, WITH A LIGHT VARIABLE WIND.
SHOULD BE A GOOD DAY FOR THE FREE SHOW AT THE FAIRGROUNDS IN
MAQUOKETA FROM 10:30 A.M. UNTIL 7:30 P.M.  EVERYONE IS INVITED!
SEE YOU THERE!

BASKEBALL TONIGHT.   THE MAQUOKETA BOYS HOST ANAMOSA  AND THE GIRLS PLAY THERE.   MATT CLARK WILL BROADCAST THE GIRL'S GAME,
STARTING JUST BEFORE 7:30 ON KMAQ AND OUR WEB SITE.

LAST NIGHT IN THE B & P MILLER LITE LEAGUE AT TIMBER LANES,
JAY SMITH OF MAQUOKETA ROLLED A 300 GAME.     HE ALSO HAD A 234 AND A 741 SERIES.
I TALKED TO JAY AND HE SAID HE HAS HAD 10 PEFECT GAMES, 3 HERE
IN MAQUOKETA.    LAST NIGHT IT WAS THE MIDDLE GAME AND HE
BOWLS FOR C & R TIRES.   THE TEAM IS IN 2ND PLACE IN THE LEAGUE.  HE'S 37 AND I'LL BET HE WILL HAVE MORE IN THE FUTURE.  NICE GOING
JAY.    A SUPER-BOWL BOWLER, THE DAY AFTER THE SUPER BOWL.

THE COST FOR THE ANNEX BUILDING TO THE COURTHOUSE IS GOING
UP.     THE SUPERVISORS BOUGHT THE PENROSE HOME JUST WEST
OF THE LAW ENFORCEMENT CENTER LAST FALL TO USE FOR COUNTY OFFICES.    NOW, THEY HAVE DISCOVERED IT IS TOO SMALL SO THEY HAVE DECIDED TO ADD 1,500 SQUARE FEET.     THE ENGINEERING COST TO REMODEL THE ORIGINAL HOME TO A OFFICE BUILDING IS $25,000 AND NOW NEARLY $23,000 WILL GO FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE ADDITION.   THEY PAID OVER $200,000 FOR THE HOME.      BY "OPEN HOUSE" DAY, WILL
IT GET UP TO A HALF-MILLION?    AS I ALWAYS SAY..."I'LL KEEP YOU POSTED"!
CLINTON COUNTY  IS BUILDING A COUNTY ANNEX BUILDING IN DEWITT,
FORMERLY THE CANDLELIGHT RESTAURANT, AT CLOSE TO A $MILLION.

AGAIN ... IN CLOSING ... SEE  YOU TOMORROW AT THE KMAQ FARM AND
HOME SHOW.    OR...WE WILL BE DOING A LOT OF BROADCASTING
FROM THE PEARSON CENTER, SO LISTEN TOMORROW ON THE
KMAQ WEB SITE.
