THE EMPLOYEES DONATED THE MONEY IN ORDER TO WEAR THEIR FAVORITE
FOOTBALL JERSEY TO WORK.
MAQUOKETA HAS A NEW DENTIST....JOINING LECHTENBERG DENTAL.
HE IS DR. BRAD YOUNG. HE AND HIS WIFE MARIE LIVE IN DAVENPORT....
NEARLY EQUAL DISTANCE FROM WHERE THEY WORK.
DORIS BROWN, AGE 84, OF FORT DODGE AND FORMERLY OF MAQUOKETA,
DIED MONDAY. THE FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE AT 3 THIS SATURDAY
AFTERNOON AT THE CELEBRATION CENTER AT FRIENDSHIP HAVEN. BURIAL
WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE MOUNT HOPE CEMETERY IN MAQUOKETA.
THE VISITATION WILL BE FROM 5 UNTIL 7 P.M. FRIDAY AT THE GUNDERSON
FUNERAL HOME IN FORT DODGE. DORIS AND HUSBAND DR. PAUL BROWN, LIVED IN MAQUOKETA FOR 50 YEARS AND AFTER PAUL RETIRED, THEY MOVED TO FORT DODGE WHERE THEY HAVE LIVED FOR 7 YEARS. DORIS IS
SURVIVED BY HER HUSBAND PAUL OF 65 YEARS....7 CHILDREN....23 GRAND CHILDREN, 16 GREAT GRANDCHILDREN AND A BROTHER. MEMORIALS ARE SUGGESTED FOR THE "DARE TO IMAGINE" BUILDING FUND AT FRIENDSHIP
HAVEN.
TIPTON CITY MANAGER DOUG BOLDT HAS RESIGNED TO GO INTO BUSINESS.
HE WAS MAQUOKETA'S PUBLIC WORK'S DIRECTOR PRIOR TO TAKING A SIMILAR JOB IN TIPTON 14 YEARS AGO. HE WILL RUN CENTURY MANUFACTURING IN TIPTON.

MITCHELL WERE THE TWO MAIN FORCES IN ESTABLISHING THE CLINTON ENGINES MUSEUM HERE IN MAQUOKETA. ASHER SERVED IN WORLD WAR II
WITH THE 4TH INFANTRY DIVISION AND WAS WOUNDED AND TAKEN PRISONER OF WAR IN GERMANY. I LIKE ASHER A LOT.......AND ENJOY ATTENDING ROTARY
