NO GARBAGE BURNING WILL BE ALLOWED. VOTING AGAINST THE CHANGE TO ONE DAY A WEEK, COUNCIL MEMBERS MARSHA MEYERS AND GALEN SAUNDERS.

THE MAQUOKETA COUNTRY CLUB IS ADVERTISING FOR A NEW MANAGER.
THE OLD HOUSE (PHOTO IN THIS REPORT EARLIER THIS MONTH) IS LOCATED ACROSS THE STREET TO THE EAST OF LOWELL HENRY PHOTOGRAPHY. THE LADY THAT OWNED IT DIED LAST YEAR AND
IT HAS NOT BEEN LIVED-IN FOR YEARS. KEN MOORE BOUGHT IT AND PLANS TO RESTORE IT SOME DAY. I TOURED IT A FEW MONTHS AGO AND IT IS QUITE A HOME, GREAT STAIRWAY, AN UPSTAIRS ALL-SEASONS ROOM, AND NEEDS LOTS OF WORK.
ST. MARK'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH TORE DOWN THE OLD PARSONAGE HOME NEXT DOOR TO THE EAST OF THE CHURCH AND IS BUILDING A NEW
BUILDING ON THE LOT. I ASSUME IT WILL HAVE A COMMUNITY ROOM AND CLASSROOMS. THE BUILDING PERMIT WAS LISTED IN THE NEWSPAPER FOR AROUND $180,000.
JOHN WAGENER IS STILL PLANNING TO BUILD AN ETHANOL PLANT IN THE MAQUOKETA INDUSTRIAL PARK, IN AN EXISTING BUILDING.
THE NEW HARRY POTTER MOVIE IS DOING GOOD BUSINESS IN MAQUOKETA.
THE JACKSON COUNTY FAIR PARADE IS A WEEK FROM TOMORROW...STARTING AT 6 P.M.
