YESTERDAY ON HIGHWAY 64. CLAY MAAS, AGE 54, OF MAQUOKETA,
WAS STOPPED IN TRAFFIC WAITING TO MAKE A LEFT TURN.
TERRY GREVE, AGE 60, OF CLINTON, WAS DRIVING BEHIND AND HIT THE
REAR OF THE CYCLE. NO INJURIES. $2,500 DAMAGE TO THE
HARLEY DAVIDSON AND $1,000 DAMAGE TO THE DODGE CAR.
POLICE BLOTTER: FIVE PEOPLE WHO LIVE ON ANGUS COURT REPORTED THEIR VEHICLES HAD BEEN ENTERED. LITTLE REPORTED TAKEN.
LANNY SIMPSON, FAIRBOARD MANAGER, SAID SOMEONE SHOT THE VINYL FENCE WITH BB'S.
LISA MCGRATH ON EMMA COURT SAID MONEY AND PILLS WERE TAKEN
FROM HER #13 APARTMENT AT 605 EMMA COURT.
MAQUOKETA POLICE WERE CALLED TO 301 SOUTH OLIVE AROUND 10 LAST NIGHT. WILLIAM SIMONS, AGE 33, OF MAQUOKETA, WAS CHARGED.
SIMON HAD A KNIFE AND REFUSED TO GIVE IT UP. HE THREATENED
SGT. BRANDON ZEIMET. ZEIMET SAID SIMON WAS HOLDING THE KNIFE
IN AN AGGRESSIVE MANNER AND ALSO THREATENING TO STAB HIMSELF.
ZEIMET DEPLOYED THE TAZER ON HIM. HE SPEND THE NIGHT IN JAIL.
SCHOOL BOARD MEETING TONIGHT.

OLIVE STREET, ACROSS FROM PERXACTLY BAR & GRILL. THE SIGN IS
LIGHTED AT NIGHT. GRAND OPENING COMING.
THIS BUILDING FOR MANY YEARS WAS THE "T 'N T" CONE SHOP.
TODD TILL WILL OPEN THIS RETAIL STORE SOON. HE HAS BEEN IN THE FLOOR COVERING BUSINESS MANY YEARS AND IS HAPPY TO BE OPENING A FULL SERVICE STORE.
"EXPRESSIONS" OPENS AUG 19TH, NEXT TO THE THEATRE. THIS FULL
SERVICE SALON IS OWNED BY JANIE FITZPATRICK.
THIS SIGN IS ON THE CORNER BY THE MUSEUM AND IS LIGHTED AT NIGHT.
CLAY ROMER IS THE NEW OWNER OF THE BUILDING JUST SOUTH OF THE
THEATRE WHERE H & R BLOCK WAS LOCATED AND TOLD ME A NEW
TANNING BED BUSINESS WILL OPEN IN THE BUILDING SOON.
