A MOTORCYCLE RAN INTRO THE BACK OF A VEHICLE AT 12:09 P.M.
YESTERDAY ON HIGHWAY 64. CLAY MAAS, AGE 54, OF MAQUOKETA,
WAS STOPPED IN TRAFFIC WAITING TO MAKE A LEFT TURN.
TERRY GREVE, AGE 60, OF CLINTON, WAS DRIVING BEHIND AND HIT THE
REAR OF THE CYCLE. NO INJURIES. $2,500 DAMAGE TO THE
HARLEY DAVIDSON AND $1,000 DAMAGE TO THE DODGE CAR.
POLICE BLOTTER: FIVE PEOPLE WHO LIVE ON ANGUS COURT REPORTED THEIR VEHICLES HAD BEEN ENTERED. LITTLE REPORTED TAKEN.
LANNY SIMPSON, FAIRBOARD MANAGER, SAID SOMEONE SHOT THE VINYL FENCE WITH BB'S.
LISA MCGRATH ON EMMA COURT SAID MONEY AND PILLS WERE TAKEN
FROM HER #13 APARTMENT AT 605 EMMA COURT.
MAQUOKETA POLICE WERE CALLED TO 301 SOUTH OLIVE AROUND 10 LAST NIGHT. WILLIAM SIMONS, AGE 33, OF MAQUOKETA, WAS CHARGED.
SIMON HAD A KNIFE AND REFUSED TO GIVE IT UP. HE THREATENED
SGT. BRANDON ZEIMET. ZEIMET SAID SIMON WAS HOLDING THE KNIFE
IN AN AGGRESSIVE MANNER AND ALSO THREATENING TO STAB HIMSELF.
ZEIMET DEPLOYED THE TAZER ON HIM. HE SPEND THE NIGHT IN JAIL.
