MAQUOKETA POLICE INVESTIGATED A TWO-CAR EARLY AFTERNOON
ACCIDENT INVOLVING CARS DRIVEN BY LONNIE CRAFTON OF MAQUOKETA AND TIMOTHY JONES OF MAQUOKETA.    CRAFTON WAS MAKING A RIGHT TURN ONTO JAMES STREET FROM NORTH NIAGARA AND JONES PULLED
INTO TRAFFIC STRIKING THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE CRAFTON CAR.
$1,500 DAMAGE TO JONES 2014 DODGE AND $2,000 DAMAGE TO CRAFTON'S
2012 CHEVY.    JONES WAS CITED FOR FAILURE TO YIELD UPON ENTERING
A THROUGH ROADWAY.

SERVICES WILL BE EXPANDING TO MAQUOKETA.   THE BULLER COMPANY
HAS BEEN A REGISTERED REPRESENTATIVE WITH BERTHEL-FISHER FOR OVER 11 YEARS.   IT ALSO IS IN THE BERTHEL-FISHER OFFICES IN BURLINGTON AND MUSCATINE.    THE NEW MAQUOKETA BERTHEL-FISHER AND BULLER-FINANCIAL OFFICE WILL BE AT 125 SOUTH 2ND STREET.     THE OLD LOCATION WAS ON EAST PLATT.      THE NEW  PHONE NUMBER, 563-652-9715.

THE MAQUOKETA SOFTBALL TEAM PLAYS A TOURNAMENT GAME TONIGHT AT 7 HERE IN MAQUOKETA AGAINST CLEAR CREEK AMANA.
THE GAME WILL BE ON KMAQ-FM TONIGHT AND OUR INTERNET HOME
PAGE, WITH LEIGHTON HEPKER AT THE MIC.

THE BOYS BASEBALL TEAM HAS A MAKE-UP WAMAC DOUBLE-HEADER
TONIGHT, HERE, AGAINST ANAMOSA.

ANOTHER AD FROM MY 1945 MAQUOKETA NEWSPAPER....
HOMER "JUNIOR"  BOWMAN OWNED THE BUSINESS ALONG WITH HIS WIFE AND DAUGHTER.    THE DAUGHTER, BARB BOWMAN, ALSO RAN A LADIES WEAR STORE FOR MANY YEARS IN DOWNTOWN MAQUOKETA AND NOW LIVES IN A MAQUOKETA CARE CENTER.

THE WYOMING FAIR PARADE WILL BE BROADCAST ON KMAQ AT 6:30 TOMORROW (FRIDAY) NIGHT.

THE CEDAR COUNTY FAIR IS NOW THROUGH SUNDAY AT TIPTON.
KMAQ WILL BE BROADCASTING FROM THE FAIRGROUNDS FRIDAY AFTERNOON AT 3:05 AND 4:04.
