CHICAGO. IN MAQUOKETA, WE DON'T HAVE THE RECORDS LIKE THE LARGE CITIES,
BUT WE PROBABLY MADE THE TOP 5 LIST.
TWO MINOR ACCIDENTS. POLICE OFFICER PAT FIER SAID MITCHELL HAACK, 24, OF
DEWITT WAS STOPPED AT THE INTERSECTION OF FAMILY DOLLAR PARKWAY AND
200TH AVNEU TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND LUANN STREETER, 54, OF MAQUOKETA,
WAS BEHIND THE HAACK VEHICLE AND COULD NOT GET IT STOPPED AND IT HIT
THE REAR OF THE HAACK VEHICLE. NO DAMAGE TO TO STREETER'S 2000
GMC AND $2,000 DAMAGE TO THE HAACK 2003 BUICK. NO INJURIES IN THIS
ACCIDENT.
IN ANOTHER ACCIDENT, DON McDONALD, 82, OF MAQUOKETA AND TOM MESSERLI, 50, OF MAQUOKETA, ENTERED THE INTERSECTION AT PLATT AND VERMONT
AT THE SAME TIME AND COLLIDED. THIS WAS AT 3 TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND BOTH DRIVERS SAID THEY HAD THE GREEN LIGHT. $2,000 DAMAGE TO MCDONALD'S 2000 FORD EXPLORER AND ALSO $2,000 DAMAGE TO MESSERLI'S 2002 CHEVY S10. NO INJURIES AND NO C HARGES FILED.
SPAIN OIL COMPANY ON SOUTH STREET REPORTED A GASOLENE DRIVE-OFF.
TUESDAY AFTERNOON, SOMEONE PUMPED $30.80 IN GAS AND LEFT WITHOUT
PAYING FOR IT.
