IOWA IS HAVING FLOODS ALL OVER. THE MAQUOKETA RIVER IS FLOODED AGAIN.
SEE PHOTO BELOW. WE GOT A HALF-INCH LAST NIGHT.....AND SO FAR, 4 AND 1/2 INCHES THIS MONTH. GOOD FORECAST FOR TOMORROW, BUT MORE RAIN COMING THURSDAY AND THURSDAY NIGHT. SEVERAL ROADS IN JACKSON COUNTY ARE CLOSED BECAUSE OF FLOODING.

MAQUOKETA HIGH SCHOOL HAS A NEW PRINCIPAL, HIRED LAST NIGHT BY THE MAQUOKETA SCHOOL BOARD. HE IS MARK VERVECK OF ROCKWELL, IOWA.
HE STARTS AUGUST 1ST, AT $83,500 A YEAR. HE HAS BEEN PRINCIPAL AT ROCKWELL-SWALEDALE SINCE 2000.

WE HAD MORE RAIN LAST NIGHT AND THE MAQUOKETA RIVER IS AGAIN IN FLOOD STAGE. I TOOK THIS PHOTO THIS AFTERNOON LOOKING NORTH, OF THE OVERFLOOR LAKE NEXT TO THE BRIDGEPORT BRIDGE JUST NORTHEAST OF MAQUOKETA ON THE ROAD TO ANDREW. BOTH SIDES OF BRIDGE LIKE THIS.
CORN HAD BEEN PLANTED THERE IN MAY.
