NEARLY A HALF INCH OF RAIN YESTERDAY, BUT TODAY WAS SUNNY, WINDY AND NICE. THE REST OF THE WEEK SHOULD BE NICE ALSO.

VOTE SOON FOR BOB L. HEAD OF MAQUOKETA. THE PORTLAND BEAVERS AAA BASEBALL TEAM HAS A CONTEST GOING ON TO SELECT A BOB L. HEAD.
THERE WERE 41 BOB L. HEADS IN THE NATION AND AFTER PRELIMINARY COMPETITION, THE FIELD WAS NARROWED DOWN TO 3, INCLUDING BOB L. HEAD OF MAQUOKETA. VOTING OVER THE INTERNET STARTED THIS WEEK AND THE WINNER GETS A FREE TRIP TO A GAME IN PORTLAND AND OTHER HONORS.
