HOT AND HUMID TODAY. NO RAIN SO FAR. MAYBE TONIGHT. RAIN IS IN THE FORECAST THROUGH THURSDAY AND FRIDAY AND SATURDAY SHOULD BE
REALLY NICE.

THE LIST OF THE 25 INJURED SUNDAY IN THE BELLEVUE PARADE, INCLUDES
FROM MAQUOKETA: JAINA CRIST, AGE 7 OF MAQUOKETA AND DAYTON
RICHARDS, AGE 10, OF MAQUOKETA. JAINA WAS TAKEN TO MERCY MEDICAL CENTER IN DUBUQUE BY AMBULANCE AND DAYTON WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL HERE IN MAQUOKETA BY PRIVATE VEHICLE. TWO PEOPLE SOUGHT TREATMENT ON THEIR OWN. WE HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT MOST OF THE ACCIDENT VICTIMS HAVE NOW BEEN RELEASED FROM HOSPITALS, BUT WE HAVE NOT BEEN GIVEN A LIST OF THOSE.

ON THE POLICE BLOTTER: A MOTORCYCLE WAS REPORTED STOLEN FROM
RURAL MAQUOKETA. LOREN FELDERMAN OF 21628 HIGHWAY 64 REPORTED
YESTERDAY MORNING THAT HIS 1994 HARLEY WAS TAKEN THE NIGHT BEFORE FROM HIS GARAGE.'

MAQUOKETA CITY COUNCIL MEETING TONIGHT.

DR. CHARLES "ANDY" ANDERSON, AGE 90, DIED JUNE 21ST AT ATHENS, GEORGIA. HE WAS A NATIVE OF MAQUOKETA. HE WAS A CHEMIST
AND ENDED HIS CAREER AS CHIEF IN THE ANALYTICAL CHEMICAL BRANCH OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL RESEARCH LABORATORY IN ATHENS. HE WAS AN EMERITUS MEMBER OF THE AMERICAN CHEMICAL SOCIETY AND WAS THE AUTHOR OF A DOZEN PAPERS. HE WAS A WWII VETERAN. SURVIVORS INCLUDE
FOUR CHILDREN, SEVEN GRANDCHILDREN AND FOUR GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN.
A MEMORIAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD IN ATHENS AT THE COVENANT
PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH ON MONDAY, JULY 12TH. HE WAS AN AVID READER OF THIS DAILY REPORT TOO. HE EMAILED ME OCCASSIONALLY.
